TabTrade Broker Review - The Good and the Catch

Tab Trade - The Short Version

TabTrade.com launched in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that launched in March 2026, the breadth is broad.

What You Trade On

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently coming. That will make the platform set when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. TabTrade does not.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

The speed is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

Regulation

Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.

However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should factor into how you think about it.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
